VIVEK AND MOHINI

EPISODE 1:

     Mohini was a MBA. The day her result came out, her father through the phone itself fixed her marriage to his best friend Dhanpal's son Vivek who was residing in Mumbai.  Vivek was a very successful businessman, but was in a relationship with a prostitute Manisha since his college days. The marriage with Mohini took place with pomp and splendor. After eight months Mohini to her shock came to know that he was very serious about the prostitute. Her various efforts of cajoling him to leave that prostitute just fell into deaf ears. Then she made a foolproof plan. Her college best friend Nikita had married a doctor Akhilesh, MS. He was straight out of medical college. He came from a poor family and wanted funds to build a state of the art hospital. Manisha was kidnapped while she was on her way to the market. Her hands and legs were tied up, mouth was also closed by a thick piece of cloth and within fifteen minutes a deadly injection was administered to her. After she fell unconscious, her hands and legs were untied and the mouth cover was also removed and she was thrown into the gutter. The injection was meant to convert her brain into a vegetable. After two days, the police brought her home. But she was totally silent. After three weeks Vivek took her to the US for treatment. But even there, they were not able to cure her.

As they left, there was a very big smile on Mohini and Vivek's face. The matter was closed outside court. With the massive compensation amount, each and everything in her company was remade. After meeting the psychiatrist, the child felt better and more confident about life and parents. The family jetted off to a quick  rejuvenating trip to Kashmir and came back after one week. Of course the child was very very happy.      It was the twins' tenth birthday. The birthday was celebrated with much fanfare. Monty received two books as gift from their neighbour Vijay Sethi.
